FAQs

  • PRODUCT

The CrankSense gauge is powered by two separate batteries. A Coin SR44 battery for the digital dial and a rechargeable Li-Po battery for the Bluetooth transmitter. Once fully charged, the Bluetooth transmitter provides up to 30 hours of continuous operation. The Bluetooth transmitter is easily recharged via the MicroUSB port located on the back of the gauge.

For any gauge including CrankSense, we recommend annual calibration of the device. The requirements can vary depending on your company’s internal quality control/ inspection policy.

For a new Cranksense kit, you need to add a calibration certificate to your order. The certificate can be added by visiting the following link and selecting ‘Manufacturer Calibration Wireless Crankshaft Deflection Gauge’ from the dropdown menu: Add Calibration Certificate

If you already have a CrankSense gauge and need calibration, contact us at info@motionics.com for more information.

Calibration of a CrankSense gauge will usually take 2-3 days after we receive the unit.

  • SOFTWARE

Yes, the CrankSense kit includes software applications for both Windows and iPadOS platforms, enabling users to conduct tests and analyze data on their preferred device. Both the CrankSense Windows software and the CrankSense iPad app are available to download for free with the purchase of a CrankSense kit.

The CrankSense app is available for iPad, and CrankSense for Windows is supported on Windows PCs running Windows 7 or later.

  • WARRANTY

CrankSense’s Limited Warranty is included for free with purchase and provides 1 year of coverage for all defects in material and workmanship from the date of shipment to buyer. For more information visit: www.motionics.com/warranty.

With CrankSense’s Extended Warranty, your coverage will extend to 3 years from original shipment date of the device and adds coverage for up to two accidental damages (each subject to a service fee plus applicable tax). The warranty prices and service fees vary upon each individual device. For full details visit www.motionics.com/warranty.

If you are purchasing a new CrankSense gauge, select the option from the dropdown menu on this page when adding a kit to your order.

If you already own a CrankSense gauge and would like to extend your warranty, contact us.

If you are unable to connect the CrankSense gauge to your device via Bluetooth, make sure BOTH the Bluetooth transmitter and digital indicator are turned on before pairing. If the issue persists, please refer to the Product User Guide or contact us.
